Mimu & Me is a family-run business created in Calgary by Brittany and William Britten after years of travelling, parenting, and realizing that families needed more than busy toys. They needed simple, screen-free tools for big feelings, tricky transitions, and real-life moments.
OUR STORY
We Built the Tools We Wished We Had
Mimu & Me began after we spent months travelling with our two young children, Mila and Murphy. We had been on flights, road trips, train rides, restaurant outings, hotel stays, long waits, new routines, and plenty of moments where everything suddenly felt very big.
At first, we were looking for simple ways to keep our kids busy and engaged away from home. After buying too many random toys in too many different cities, we wondered:
Wouldn't it be nice if there was something already made for this?
So we made it ourselves.
HOW WE EVOLVED
From Travel Kits to Calm Tools
Mimu & Me began with Adventure Anywhere Kits: screen-free activity kits designed to make travel easier for families with young children.
But as our own children grew, and as we heard from more parents, we realized something important: the hardest part of family travel usually is not keeping kids busy. It is helping them handle waiting, transitions, big feelings, new places, sibling conflict, sensory overload, and all the tiny moments that can suddenly feel very big.
Today, Mimu & Me creates screen-free, expert-backed tools that help children navigate big feelings, challenging moments, and new experiences with more calm and confidence.

MEET THE FOUNDER
Meet Brittany
Brittany Britten is the founder of Mimu & Me, a former teacher, travel advisor, and mom of two.
She spent 15 years in education and holds a Bachelor of Education and a Master of Education in Curriculum & Instruction. Brittany has travelled to 47 countries, including 13 with her children, and lived in Portugal with her family for almost a year.
Her work brings together education, travel, child development, and the honest reality of parenting children through big feelings, tricky transitions, and new experiences.

Amanda Yetman
Special Education Consultant
Amanda, also known as Mandy, was a teacher for 10 years before transitioning into her current role as a Special Education Consultant. She has supported the development of our original Adventure Anywhere Kits through product vetting, activity suggestions, and ideas for using play-based materials to support developmental skills, and continues to support new product development. Amanda is passionate about helping children learn through play, whether at home or on the go.
Dr. Calli Studebaker
Owner, Confident Kids Therapy
Dr. Calli Studebaker is a pediatric occupational therapist and the owner of Confident Kids Therapy. She believes every child deserves to feel empowered, capable, and confident as they navigate their world. Calli brings an occupational therapy lens to Mimu & Me, supporting the development of tools and resources that help children build confidence, regulation, independence, and connection in everyday moments.

A Note on Sourcing
Mimu & Me is designed and developed in Canada.
We work with manufacturing partners in China to produce many of our toys, tools, and materials, as a large majority of the world's toys are made there. We are intentional about the products we create, the partners we work with, and the quality standards we expect.
As we grow, we are committed to being thoughtful, transparent, and responsible in how our products are made.
