MEET THE FOUNDER
It Started With Benny
When Murphy was three, talking about a hard day didn't always get us very far. So I started telling stories about Benny, a character who might have the same frustrations and learn what to try next. Benny even had a pause button.
We could talk about Benny instead of putting Murphy on the spot. Eventually Benny had friends, each with their own feelings and personalities. And I started thinking about all the other things I wished existed for my kids.
Why should a puzzle only be a puzzle? Why couldn't travel activities be just as useful at home? Those questions became Mimu & Me.

I'm a mom, a former teacher and someone who's travelled a whole lot with kids. Everything we make starts with something I've noticed, needed or wished worked better. Here's the longer version of our story.

Who is behind Mimu & Me?
Brittany is a mom of two and former teacher with a B.Ed. and M.Ed. She designs toys and activities inspired by real family experiences and the way children learn through play. Read our story.
What makes these toys different?
We design more possibilities into each favourite: a puzzle for fishing, threading and matching; a bag that becomes a play space; and an airport story with water painting and reusable stickers.
Are these only for travel?
No. Our toys and activities fit coffee-table play, restaurant waits, sibling activities and family trips. Everyday Moments and New Adventures are two ways to discover the same collection.
What ages are they for?
Our current collection is for ages 3+, with Calm Cards designed for ages 3–7. Check each product page for its age and supervision guidance.
Are these therapy products?
No. They are toys and activities for play, learning and family connection. Calm Cards were developed with pediatric occupational therapist Dr. Calli Studebaker, but the products do not replace individualized therapeutic support.
