I’m a mom, former teacher and travel advisor — and I really, really believe kids are capable of experiencing more of the world than we sometimes give them credit for.
That doesn’t mean it’s always easy.
My own family has had the meltdowns, the sensory overload, the restaurant waits that went sideways and the travel days that required every trick we had.
But I’ve also watched what happens when kids have a chance to practise, when something unfamiliar becomes familiar, and when we give them tools they actually understand how to use.
That’s where Mimu & Me came from.
Not from trying to create perfectly calm kids.
From wanting to help raise kids who feel more confident participating in their world — while giving parents a few really useful things to bring along for the ride.
