Here's one way to use the bag on a flight. You can change the routine cards and activities for a road trip or another outing.
Play While You Wait
Try Airport Bingo together at the gate, or choose from the nine included reusable activities for drawing, patterns and more. There’s something to discover while you wait.
Bring It Through the Airport
Slide the bag over a suitcase handle or use the carry straps to keep favourite activities close.
Open Their Little Play Station
When the tray table is ready, clip on the bag, open the play space and bring out the reusable activities.

BEHIND THE DESIGN
Why I Designed This
After so many flights with my kids, I was tired of packing a bag, a tray cover and separate toys. I was especially tired of crawling around an airplane looking for the little pieces that had rolled onto the floor.
I wanted a bag that could become the play space, too. Working with pediatric occupational therapist Dr. Calli Studebaker, we added a removable panel with slots for visual routine cards that children can choose before a trip and check off along the way. Flip it over and there are nine activities, including Airport Bingo, drawing games and breathing exercises. It helps us prepare before we leave and gives the kids something to do once we're on our way.

30 Routine Cards, Eight Slots
Choose pictures for your journey and place them in the removable panel. Children can check them off as each part of the day happens.

Is the Travel Bag only for airplanes?
Not at all. It's especially handy on flights, but families can also use it for road trips, restaurants, appointments and everyday waits. The routine cards and reusable activities can come along wherever the day takes you.
Can my child carry it?
Yes. The bag can be carried by the handle, worn as a backpack, worn as a shoulder bag, or slipped over a suitcase handle.
The detachable activity insert is also sized for little hands, so your child can carry their cards and activities through the airport, into a restaurant, or wherever the journey takes you.
Does it fit under the airplane seat?
When full, the Calm & Confident Travel Bag measures approximately 13 × 9 × 4 inches.
It is designed with family travel in mind and fits within many airlines’ personal-item limits, but exact allowances and under-seat space vary by airline and aircraft. We recommend checking your airline’s current personal-item measurements before you fly and avoiding overpacking the bag.
How is this different from a regular kids' travel bag?
A regular backpack stores activities. This bag also opens into a contained tray-table play space and includes visual routine cards, reusable dry-erase activities, a play mat and Calm Pods. It's designed for more than one part of the trip and for future adventures.
Can it hold my child’s favourite toys or travel extras?
Yes. Along with the included visual routine cards, activity cards, dry erase markers, and Calm Pods, there is room for small favourite toys, comfort items, snacks, wipes, or other little travel extras your child reaches for often.
It is designed to help keep those items organized and easy to find.
Is it wipeable?
Yes. The bag is designed for real travel days and can be wiped clean after flights, road trips, restaurants, and everyday adventures.
We recommend spot cleaning with a damp cloth and mild soap, then letting it air dry fully.
Are the included routine cards the same as Calm Cards?
No. The Travel Bag comes with 30 visual routine cards for moments such as flights, road trips, restaurants and hotels. The separate 36-card Calm Cards deck includes playful strategies and parent prompts for exploring feelings together.
Is adult supervision recommended?
Yes. The Calm & Confident Travel Bag is designed to be used with direct adult supervision to ensure safe and fun play.
This is especially important when using straps, small accessories, dry erase markers, or setting the bag up on an airplane tray table.
